On Tuesday 21st June and Wednesday 22nd June, two Bikeabilty instructors, James and Janet, came to teach years 3, 4, 5 and 6 about riding bikes and staying safe. On Tuesday morning, everyone did Stage One. We learnt how to do the hand signals for turning and how to stop and go at a junction. We also learnt about right of way and changing gears. Years 3 and 4 learnt about the Highway Code.
In the afternoon, year 5 and 6 rode in to the village. We practised going past cars as well as looking out for them and learnt about primary and secondary position. We learnt how to safely push off and start riding as well as doing U-turns. Then we cycled back to school on the road. It was great fun and we all improved our confidence
