Mrs Telfer has shared some of the work from team Marble this week:
Homelearning
NT and GW sent us some photos from last week enjoying their online learning and activities they did at home.
Please send us your photos so we can share it with your friends!
Violin performances
We have new starters for our violin classes this term. They have prepared these lovely performances for Christmas:
Children in Need
Across the nation and in our school, we had a different Children in Need Day.
Activities on each bubbles and children wearing different outfits, showing their support!
Halloween 2020
On Friday 23rd October, children came to school wearing Halloween outfits.
We had some fun activities throughout the day and it was a great last day of half term!
A Trip to the Recording Studio
Team Amethyst enjoyed a full day out at The Hub, Barnard Castle. We learned about the recording industry and how the hardware and software works under the expert guidance of Tom, Music Coordinator at The Hub. We then recorded our favourite songs and instrumental arrangements onto CD. The CD is available to purchase from school. We hope you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoyed creating it!
“Today was the best school trip ever!” TR
“The recording studio was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed it.” FW
“Will we be on the radio? We might all be famous!” KL
Lanterns
Jill Essam came into school to make lanterns with the children.
The children will parade with them on Saturday 30th November, at the village green, when the christmas tree lights will be switched on.
New Bibles for school
On Tuesday 12th November, Reverend Bruce presented the children with new Bibles during assembly.
The Stanhope Methodist Church have given us five copies of “The Lion Children’s Bible” and two copies of “The Good News Bible”. This will enhance our R.E work, especially the KS2 topic “Learning about Jesus”.
Thank you very much Reverend Bruce.
Anti-bullying day
We celebrated Anti-bullying day on Thursday 08th November. Children were asked to wear odd socks to bring awareness to this campaign to show that we are all different and unique.
We have put posters up across the school from children of Team Marble.
The one attached is by Andrew.
Frosterley Primary School awarded the Music Mark
We were all very excited when we received the news from Bridget Whyte, Chief Executive of The UK Association for Music Education – Music Mark.
‘Congratulations on becoming a Music Mark School 2019-2020. We would firstly like to thank you for all the hard work you and your colleagues do to ensure that pupils at your school are able to access and engage with a high-quality music education. Your dedication to offering and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum is both welcomed and celebrated.
Music Mark works to enable our members, and the wider music education sector, to deliver high-quality musical and social outcomes for all children and young people. Our thanks for all that you are doing and will continue to do to support our collective vision.’
